Stacking the B-300/TCON-17 with the MCON-35 on FZ10

To try this yourself, you will need our PD62 adapter, a 62-55mm step-ring to attach the B-300 and a 77-62mm step-ring to attach the MCON-35 . Since the B-300 does not have front filter threads, the 77-62mm step-ring will have to be press-fitted into place. For added security we suggest also using 3/4" wide electrical tape. With the ring pushed fully into place, start the electrical tape at the joint center and continue completely around the barrel. Make sure you stretch the tape as you apply it and go around at least three or four complete rotations. If done properly the tape will conform to the joint very nicely (see pic below, blue tape was used to highlight the technique, but black tape is more aesthetic). With the ring secured, add the MCON-35 Macro lens and you're ready to go. Since they are physically identical, the TCON-17 can be used in place of the B-300.

By the way, for those wishing to put only a filter on the end of their TCON-17, a 77-72mm step-down ring can be similarly pressed into place and used in combination with 72mm filters. With light weight filters, taping the joint may not be necessary.
